More than just a dog.

It's almost 5 months at the time of writing this 10th August 2026, since I lost my best friend and companion for the last 13 years. Bella, my beautiful Bichon Frise. I still don't really have the words to express how deep this loss cut into my soul!
I had hoped that by honouring her with the name Heather Bells (Bella) I would feel like I was taking her along this journey with me, just as I had done when I collected her from Derby on 1st April 2013. I'd started advertising my dog-walking business to be with Bella every day. What an amazing journey I had with her as my sidekick!
I intended to craft something unique to honour the bond we shared. Last year, I conceived the idea (knowing I would not have Bella for long) of creating memorial jewellery for our cherished pets. I have since completed the NC jewellery-making course at UHI Stornoway, continuing this year to HNC Jewellery making.
While Bella is not the first pet I have lost, her passing has affected me the most profoundly.
Please know that when creating any memorial jewellery, I handle your precious ashes with the same love and care I would with my beautiful Bella's.
