The name behind Heather Bells

Hi, I’m Heather, the maker behind Heather Bells Jewellery.

This is the 3rd time jewellery had come into my life, I had never created any previously however when I learned about the NC jewellery course 25/26 at UHI Stornoway.  I jumped at the chance.

I am now following on with the HNC jewellery course this year where I am learning more in depth silversmithing. Stone setting CAD for designing. I do feel as if I have finally found my home in creating jewellery using precious metals and gemstones.

I’ve had many coats on in the past from being a pool attendant, shop owner, market trader and fire fighter to name a few.

 

I now have a small studio at home where I design and make my jewellery offered here on my website. I also I hand finish memorial jewellery with inclusions such as ashes, hair, and clothing as a lasting tribute to your loved ones.

I’m an ardent animal lover having previously operated a dog walking and dog day care centre. I started dog walking initially so I could spent all my time with my Bichon Frise Bella whom I sadly lost Bella earlier in 2026  A loss I still find hard to come to terms with and where the name for Heather Bells originated.

I’m also a proud mother to my son Jamie founder of Mentor Scotland in West Dunbartonshire and nana to his my 4 beautiful daughters.
